As of December 2022, Solvay is using AnQore’s Econitrile-MB®100 to produce an ISCC-plus certified, bio-circular version of their Fentamine® dimethylaminopropylamine (DMAPA). This DMAPA is a key building block to make a range of surfactant products used in home and personal care applications such as shampoos, body washes, dishwashing liquids and surface cleaners.

AnQore is committed to safe, secure and sustainable supply of key raw materials. Econitrile-MB is the certified, sustainable alternative for acrylonitrile, introduced to the market by AnQore in 2019. The use of Econitrile-MB®100 as a raw material allows brand owners to offer real, sustainable alternatives to fossil products. Econitrile-MB®100 is certified to have a much lower carbon footprint compared to fossil acrylonitrile and allows for genuine claims about the sustainable nature of the products in which it is used. In turn, these products allow customers to make a more sustainable choice on a daily basis.

Max Chabert, Global Marketing Manager home & hygiene at Solvay Novecare comments: “Using Econitrile allows us to provide our home & personal care customers with surfactants combining the expected performance and an improved sustainability profile - from the carbon footprint standpoint and beyond”
